Jesus, stand among us (2x)
in your risen power;
let this time of worship
be a hallowed hour.
*Call to Worship
How wonderful it is for God's people to live together in harmony:
to gather for worship, to rejoice in thanksgiving.
How wonderful it is for God's people to live together in harmony:
to encourage each other to be good friends.
How wonderful it is for God's people to live together in harmony:
to work together to support the troubled, near and far away.
How wonderful it is for God's people to live together in harmony:
to have the promised blessing, life that never ends.
*Opening Prayer
In the warmth of a summer day beside the lake or in the backyard,
we seek God's renewing presence.
In the smile of a young mother,
we seek God's parental presence.
In the agony of despair, the shock of an unexpected diagnosis,
we seek God's empathetic presence.
In the struggles and fractures of life with family and friends,
we seek God's reconciling presence. In all of life's experiences - joyful, frustrating, painful, exhilarating - and in this service of worship, Loving God, we seek your presence. Amen.
*Opening Hymn: "God Is Here" VU389
A Prayer of Confession
Many choices await us in the daily routine of life.
In the will to make faithful decisions, in our rejection of selfishness, may persistence be our watchword.
Many opportunities are open for us to use our gifts.
In our recognition of new talents, in the choice of fresh ventures, may we overcome our fear of failure.
Many ways are open to us to find fellowship.
In our willingness to worship together, in our common action for good, may we find satisfaction in a faithful routine.
Time of Reflection....
Words of Assurance
Know freedom from doubt, know new confidence, know that your Christian faith will strengthen you!
In Christ we are revived and renewed.
Pardon and peace are ours.
Thanks be to God. Amen.

*Prayer of Dedication of Gifts and Self
We celebrate the ability to give for our fellowship, and to care for others.
Receive our gifts, O God, and bless them. Give us joy in our giving, satisfaction as we see our gifts being used, and a reminder of all you have given to us, in the life, death and rising of Jesus. Amen.
