let us find our rest in thee.

O God, as a gentle rain soaks the earth,
may your peace and love fall upon us,

and send us out refreshed, to carry your peace to others.
In Christ's name, we pray, Amen.

Invitation to Confession

Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Merciful God,
you made us in your image,
with a mind to know you,
a heart to love you,

But our knowledge is imperfect,

our obedience incomplete.
Day by day, we fail to grow into your likeness.
In your tender love, forgive us. Amen.

To the Congregations of the Gander Pastoral Charge

I send my greeting to you all! I wanted to take some time out of studying to send you a note of appreciation and thanks for your farewell gifts. I have completed a course in pastoral psychology and I'm half way through a course on the Gospel of John.

Your generous gifts came at a time of need. As you know my time with you ended June 30th, and as result my source of income. My internship does not start until September, and even then the income is extremely low. So it is with deep thanks that I write this note. Your farewell gifts have helped ease the financial burden ahead.

I also want to say that I cherish the much sacred ground we journeyed together. Much personal and professional learning occurred during my time with you. Your story has revealed many layers. Know that you have all played a significant role in my formation as ministry personnel for our church. I pray God's continued blessings, and wisdom as you continue to walk the horizon that unfolds before you.

With love,

And in the Service of Christ,

Sharon Earle-Marshall
