Lord God of Hosts . . . fill us with your presence....
Eternal God, maker of earth and sky and sea. Saviour God, hope of the lost and deliverer of the afflicted.
Present God . . . protect us till Christ's return....
God of law and God of order. God of calling and God of persuasion. God of tenderness and God of healing, lift our world from its darkness, guide our leaders and our teachers, heal our sick and comfort our mourners, feed our hungry and satisfy the thirsty...
God of light, . . . come to those we hold before you now ...
O God - in every age people have prayed to you even when they did not know you in your fullness and your glory. We pray O God - with the Spirit you have given us - the knowledge you have revealed to us - the word that you have bestowed upon us - we pray - even as you taught us through Christ Jesus your Son and our brother, our friend, and our Lord.
