At the call of Jesus Christ,

Strengthen one another;

Nurture each other in faith;

Prepare and direct our people

into God's world for service.

* Please stand as you are able.

WE GATHER AS GOD'S PEOPLE

*The Procession of Light and Word

*Welcome and Greeting

*Passing the Peace of Christ

The peace of Christ be with you......

AND ALSO WITH YOU.

Life and Work of the Congregation

*Introit: Spirit of the Living God, VU #376

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

Melt me, mould me, fill me, use me.

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

Spirit of the living God, move among us all;

make us one in heart and mind, make us one in love:

humble, caring, selfless, sharing.

Spirit of the living God, fill our lives with love!

*Call to Worship

God's Spirit calls to our spirits,

inviting us to worship.

God's Spirit calls to our spirits,

inviting us by love.

God's Spirit calls to our spirits,

calling us by name,

calling us to grow in faith,

calling us to be made new.

We come to worship in this season of the Spirit.

Amen.

Opening Prayer

* Hymn: Lord Jesus, You Shall Be My Song #641

Prayer of Confession (in unison):

Holy One, we confess that our relating to one another is usually more surface than deep, with more pretence than honesty. We want to hide our inner needs and wounds, fears and failings, and so we keep at what we think is safe distance from you and one another. The truth we hide is revealed to others in our attitudes, words and behaviours. Forgive us for trying to keep a false peace when the calling is to a tough love, and a submission to the fire of your gracious refining.

Words of Assurance

* RESPONSE: Halle, Halle, Halle

Halle, halle, hallelujah! (x3)

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Theme Conversation

* Hymn: Throughout These Lenten Days and Nights #108

* Prayer of Dedication of Gifts and Self: (in unison)

Holy God,

we bring to you the ordinary things of life:

food and drink and money;

and in bringing them we bring ourselves.

Take us and our gifts of money

to do your work in this place and in the world. Amen.

THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION

* Hymn: As We Gather at Your Table #457
