The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord;

she is his new creation by water and the word;

from heaven he came and sought her to be his holy bride;

with his own blood he bought her, and for her life he died.

2 Elect from every nation, yet one o'er all the earth,

her charter of salvation one Lord, one faith, one birth;

one holy name she blesses, partakes one holy food,

May this sacred place and our prayerful worship remind us of the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth;

May it renew our respect for the delicacy and preciousness of all life.

God of love, we place the hours and events of this day in your hands. We trust in your presence through every moment and pray for your care as our minds are stirred and our hearts are moved. As we celebrate the lives of loved ones, fill our minds with precious memories, our hearts with peace, and our souls with the solace of your Spirit. Give us faith in a sure eternity with you. Amen

Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear,

scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea,

words full of kindness, deeds full of grace,

all in the lovelight of Jesus' face.

Tell me, in accents of wonder, how rolled the sea

tossing the boat in a tempest on Galilee!

And how the Master, ready and kind,

Into the city I'd follow the children's band,

UNITED CHURCH OF CANADA 80TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY!!! The Pastoral Charge of Fraser Road United Church will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the United Church of Canada on June 5, 2005 with a potluck supper followed by a celebration service. All three congregations (Gander, Benton, Glenwood/Appleton) are invited and encouraged to attend. Please mark this date on your calendar.

GUATEMALA MISSION UPCOMING FUND RAISERS

•FAMILY PHOTOS!!! Artistic Photo, from Corner Brook, will be at Fraser Road Untied Church, May 30th, 31st June 1st & 2nd taking Family photos as a fundraiser for the Guatemala Mission Team. The cost is $20.00 per 15 min. sitting. The family will receive a complimentary 8"x10"photo of their choice from a total of 9 proofs. The entire $20.00 will go to the Guatemala Mission Team. Book your time early by calling Marilyn Boone at 651-2062. Photos will be taken from 9am to 8:00 pm all four days. Viewing of photo proofs will take place on June 13th, 14th, 15th 16^th.

The Central Regional Integrated Health Authority needs caring adults willing and able to provide a supportive home environment for children and youth whose family is currently unable to do so. You may be interested in long-term or short-term care. You can be an important member of a team that is working together for the benefit of a child or youth.
