Throughout these Lenten days and nights

we turn to walk the inward way,

where, meeting Christ, our guide and light,

we live in hope till Easter Day.

*Call to Worship

God calls us this day to a life of joy.

With God, joy cracks through the bonds of despair.

With God, joy bursts forth from moments of quiet pleasure.

With God, joy gilds the edges if even ordinary days.

This is the day which our God has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Opening Prayer

Gracious God, we thank you for the glimpses of your glory, and the whispered words of your promise, which help us to continue from day to day. Help us to press onward in the journey of faith, trusting your grace for today and tomorrow, accepting the cost and joy of discipleship to Jesus Christ our faithful guide. Amen.
