INTROIT: This Is The Day
This is the day, this is the day
that our God has made, that our God has made;
we will rejoice, we will rejoice,
and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that our God has made,
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day
that our God has made.
CALL TO WORSHIP (responsive):
Sing for joy to God, all the earth;
Worship with songs and shouts of joy!
Sing praise to God! Play music on the harps!
Blow trumpets and horns, and shout for joy to the Holy One of Israel!
Roar, sea, and every creature in you;
Sing, earth, and all who live on you!
Clap your hands, you trees; you hills, stand tall before God.
God comes to rule the earth, and to govern the peoples of the earth with justice and fairness.
OPENING PRAYER (leaders' copy only)
O God, for the sun and the stars, the mountains and the valleys, we your children come to you offering our thanks and seeking your presence. Be among us, opening our hearts to the sway of your power and peace.
We dedicate this service to you. We trust that you will work through our songs and our sayings so that we will leave this place knowing your hand has touched us. Amen.
*HYMN: Praise The Lord With The Sound of Trumpet #245
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (in unison):
Holy God, in earth, sea and sky,
you are there;
in everything we touch;
in everyone we meet;
your presence is 'round us,
and we give you thanks.
You we have not touched, but trampled, in creation;
you we have not met, but missed, in one another;
you we have not received, but rejected, in the poor.
Forgive us.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven by grace! With great joy, we are made alive! Thanks be to God. Amen.
