Rev. Stephanie McClellan

The Rev. Stephanie McClellan is a minister of the United Church of Canada in the Gander Pastoral Charge. She is in her second year of ordained ministry and arrived here last year from years of study in Vancouver, BC where she was a university/hospital chaplain, an Advisor for university students with disabilities and a youth minister in a local congregation while taking courses.
Her family lives in Southern Ontario where she was born and raised (she never really grew up!). Stephanie fell in love with Newfoundland during her cross-Canada Handcycling Marathon called "On Wings Like Eagles". Her goal for the tour was to help people recognize the abilities of people with disabilities and after wheeling about 6 to 8 hours a day, she and her team would conduct evening workshops on disability awareness issues. Her ability to speak sign language has helped continue God's dream of inclusion and acceptance for all people.
